Yet, many people face barriers such as high-cost or a lack of transport options, limiting their access to jobs, education and essential services \u2013 this is known as transport poverty.<\/p><p><strong><span class=\"p2-623ef701647b-span p2-623ef701647b-text001\">In 2025, EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK invites us to rethink every journey and ensure <\/span><span class=\"p2-623ef701647b-span p2-623ef701647b-text001\">mobility for everyone!<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p><strong><span class=\"p2-623ef701647b-span p2-623ef701647b-text001\">16\u201322 SEPTEMBER 2025<\/span><span class=\"p2-623ef701647b-span p2-623ef701647b-text001\">Annual Theme: Mobility for Everyone<\/span><\/strong><\/p><h5><strong>1. Design for all<\/strong><\/h5><p><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\">Well-designed mobility systems benefit everyone. Thoughtfully planned services, vehicles, <\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\">infrastructure and communication help all users, especially those with physical, sensory or <\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\">cognitive impairments.<\/span><\/p><div class=\"p3-623ef701647b-div\"><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text002\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text003\">No physical barriers:<\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\"> Ensure that vehicles within the mobility system are accessible <\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\">for everyone. This includes public transport, ride-hailing, on-demand and shared <\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\">transport. The same goes for stations, stops, mobility hubs, pavements, cycle paths and <\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\">other transport infrastructure. Consider ramps, floor texture, signage, lighting, <\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\">surfaces, dimensions and drainage.<\/span><\/div><div class=\"p3-623ef701647b-div\"><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text002\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text003\">Digitally accessible:<\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\"> Provide user-friendly digital tools for ticketing, journey planning <\/span><span class=\"p3-623ef701647b-span p3-623ef701647b-text001\">and real-time information. The Social Climate Fund supports and encourages innovative local solutions for sustainable mobility.<br \/>&#8211;<strong>Local context, local needs:<\/strong> To foster more inclusive mobility solutions, adopt an inclusive approach to participation, consultation, co-creation and planning. Remember that neighbourhood associations, representative groups and other organised civil society and community associations are allies of public administrations and mobility operators in tackling transport poverty and mobility vulnerability.<br \/>&#8211;<strong>Acceptability:<\/strong> Consider diverse social and cultural norms and preferences to ensure that sustainable mobility services, solutions and options are welcoming and accepted by all<\/p><h5 class=\"p4-623ef701647b-div\"><span class=\"p4-623ef701647b-span p4-623ef701647b-text003\">4. Local, regional, metropolitan<\/span><\/h5><p><span class=\"p4-623ef701647b-span p4-623ef701647b-text001\">Mobility should not stop at administrative borders.
