Now It’s Time to Experience the City! The Urban Agenda Begins!

As SUMP Türkiye, we continue the major transformation in urban mobility for a more sustainable world with the Urban Agenda. Now, for the sustainable future of our cities, all citizens, institutions, and organizations are taking responsibility together, working in full cooperation to implement all necessary measures for a livable city.

Through the Urban Agenda, we invite municipalities and, through them, all city residents to become part of this transformation.

Under the Urban Agenda, municipalities offer small rewards to citizens who participate in free events using sustainable urban transportation methods, recognizing their courage in taking responsibility for the future of their cities.

Residents who follow the municipalities’ agendas and choose to walk, bike, or use public transportation to reach their destinations feel proud of playing a personal role in the livable future of their cities by reducing their carbon footprint and leaving behind a city where their children can breathe freely.

Now, it’s time to fully experience your city with the Urban Agenda!

Follow the SMS updates from your City Municipality and win rewards! When municipalities announce the opening of a new park, an upcoming concert, or invite citizens to discover hidden social and cultural spots in the city, their SMS notifications will include the hashtags:
#HopOnTheBike #HopOnTheMetro #HopOnTheBus #HopOnTheFerry #ComeByWalking

These calls encourage city dwellers to become SUMP Türkiye Volunteers under the Urban Agenda. Those who prove they arrived at the event or location using sustainable transportation methods will receive surprise rewards. For example, they could win unforgettable gifts and memories like the chance to go backstage at a concert organized by the municipality or get an autographed t-shirt from the artist. Those who support the Urban Agenda’s call to promote active mobility can also benefit from various opportunities and discounts within the city. Details will be announced via SMS from your city’s municipalities and shared on the municipality’s social media accounts.

Our municipalities will also invite local businesses and shop owners who wish to be part of the project to become SUMP Türkiye Volunteers, aiming to make sustainable urban transportation a part of our daily lives. Businesses that wish to participate will display the “SUMP Türkiye Volunteer” logo in their windows, signaling, “Opportunities for those who choose sustainable transportation are here.” This promotion will be supported by the municipality. Citizens who choose to go shopping by bike or meet a friend for coffee by using public transportation instead of their private vehicle will have the chance to receive discounts and gifts from participating businesses.

With the Urban Agenda, both our city and we will win! Step by step, our habits will change, and our cities will become places we can truly enjoy living in. Small rewards will turn into big dreams.
